National
National are primarily known for their resonator guitars, but do produce acoustic models also. Along with Dobro they were among the first to produce a resonator guitar, the genre being distinctive for their jangly blues sound. Resonators artificially amplify the sound of an steel strung acoustic using an aluminium cone system,  to allow it to be heard above other band instruments.
